The Salar West Project will be BMG's primary target and is divided into three areas (North, Central and South) covering 8,000 Ha. Located adjacent to the world's largest lithium producer, Sociedad Quimica y Minera (SQM)'s Li-K operations, Salar West demonstrates similar geology to the nearby Monturaqui project, where geophysics have identified significant lithium-bearing aquifers.

BMG completed a geophysics program on the Central and Southern areas in October 2018. This identified several strong lithium brine targets which the Company is planning to drill in CY19 Q2 following formal Completion of the JV. BMG is currently undertaking additional geophysics in the Southern zone to test the extension of the key target area into the additional area it recently acquired (2,100 Ha in the Western section of the Southern zone).
